University of New England
On-campus accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking. We recommend Mary White College, which is five minute’s walk to the conference venue, campus shops, cafes, post office, and Booloominbah Restaurant. The town bus stops at the College, which is nestled high on the side of a hill giving residents picturesque views of Armidale city to the east and rural surrounds to the west. Mary White is also adjacent to a Deer Park and Duck Pond. The rate for standard student style rooms (shared bathroom facilities) at Mary White College is $63.50 per night (room only). Unfortunately rooms with en-suite bathrooms are not available. Participants residing at Mary White College will be provided with breakfast at no extra cost. Armidale also offers a wide range of excellent off campus accommodation with great value-for-money facilities at motels, hotels, B&B’s and caravan parks. Please contact the Armidale Visitors Information Centre who offer a toll-free advisory and complimentary accommodation booking service. Special motel rates will be offered here when available.
We have reserved a limited number of rooms for conference delegates at the Club Motel and the Sandstock Motor Inn. Please mention the RAAN block-booking if reserving a room at one of these establishments.
The conference will commence at 14:00 on Wednesday October 25 to enable delegates to arrive on one of the two morning flights from Sydney (QF2020, 09:40; QF2022, 13:20) and will end at 12:15 on Friday October 27 to enable delegates to depart on either of the two afternoon flights from Armidale to Sydney (QF2023, 13:45; QF2031, 17:20). Free transport between Armidale Airport and Mary White College will be provided for delegates arriving and departing on these flights.
